Summerhill Bowling Club

Located in an historic Georgian Square, just a stone’s throw from Newcastle city centre, the former Summerhill Bowling Club a venue with over a hundred years of history and many stories to tell.

It is maintained and developed as a community resource by the Summerhill Trust Ltd, and is funded through donations, subscriptions, grants and site hire.

How to find us

Summerhill Bowling Club Pavilion and Gardens is in the Summerhill conservation area of Newcastle upon Tyne, next to Summerhill Park and bordered by Westgate Road, Westmorland Road and Rye Hill.

A short walk from Central Station, the venue stone’s throw from St James’ Park, the Discovery Museum and Newcastle College campus.

Our main entrance is on Winchester Terrace, NE4 6EH.
